My dog lost a tooth and I brought her in to get checked out. They told me they would need to put her under very soon for xrays to look for a root and possibly extract, but they wanted a dentist's opinion and would call me that night with more information. They quoted me $800-$1000 for the procedure. I did not hear back from them that night, and when I called the next day inquiring what the dentist said, I was told "they are still working on a plan for your dog" and would call me when they had one. It has been over 2 weeks and I have not heard back from anyone. In the meantime, I got a second opinion who told me it was the cap of a deciduous baby tooth and it was unnecessary to put the dog under anesthesia at this time, as these teeth are meant to fall out. I'm very disappointed that this clinic would suggest such an expensive, and seemingly important procedure and not even follow through with the necessary communication afterwards.
