We were new clients when we brought our Silkie chicken, Pearl in to your clinic. Unfortunately Pearl had died on the way to your office. I appreciated the sensitive way in which your staff greeted me and the respectful way in which they handled Pearl during the post mortem exam. I returned the next day with our Serama Hen, Rosebud, as she was showing the same signs of decline that Pearl had shown. Dr Satterfield
and your staff showed the same respect and professionalism to Rosebud as they had to Pearl. We were given antibiotics to treat her but unfortunately she died several days later. We were unable to have a necropsy performed because we were traveling to California and were not able to deliver the body to the UConn lab. We do not know what illness took the life of our dear chickens but are happy to say that the remaining chickens, Scarlett, Scout, Pickle, Roo and Chai are doing very well, healthy and very spunky! We so appreciated The follow up calls and the personal attention were so appreciated. Our chickens were and are very loved members of our family, and we treasure them as dearly as we do our cats and horses.
Thank you so much for your care and attention to our needs.
