I'm the guy who doesn't like going to the dentist. The fear likely traces itself back to when I was a young kid and a baseball nearly knocked out my two front teeth — I had to literally eat a liquid diet until they "set" again. The experience made me paranoid of losing my teeth, and very uneasy with dental appointments.
A little more than a decade ago, I made the switch from my longtime family dentist (whom I never really felt comfortable with) and started going to Dr. Burton. His smiling staff immediately put me at ease, and his professionalism was reassuring. Most important, however, was that his work was exceptionally high quality — no need to go back to have things "fixed" a few years later. As you can imagine, I'm finally relaxed sitting back in the dental chair.
