I believe Dr. Robinson is genuinely concerned about the health of our dog Sadie and has been extremely helpful during Sadie's recent issues with allergies.
The staff at Oak View are always a pleasure to work with and we feel very comfortable leaving Sadie in their care.
Thank you so very much for your kind review! We are so happy to have the opportunity to care for sweet little Sadie and love having y'all as part of our Oak View family!

I have come to Oak View for years (maybe 25 years), have always loved it, and still do. However, I do have one suggestion for next time. If it was possible to do it this way, I think it would have been good to have trimmed Zoie's toenails Before doing the blood and urine draws. Maybe that wouldn't have worked either. Maybe she would have been too stressed to do both, no matter which we did first. However, coming back to finish her toenails is an unhappy solution for Zoie and me.
:).
We are happy to give that a try next time, Ms. Eastman! Thanks so much for bringing Zoie in to see us.

I was looking for a new Veterinarian. I spoke to the office in advance and shared that my dog had a ear infection and a skin fungal infection. I specifically told them that BOTH these issues were chronic, happening about twice-three times/year. All I needed were the antibiotics for the conditions. I already had the medicated wash and ear drops. I brought in all my medical records confirming these conditions, and the exact antibiotics which had been successful in clearing up the conditions. I had no problem paying for a visit. The Dr. tried to recommend and sell me allergy medication for my dog, even though there was no verification that my dog had an allergy, or what kind of allergy. When I pressed to ask how much the medication was, I was told it was about $67/month. I told her I could not afford that, as I was already paying for monthly heart medication. She looked at the skin rash and said that she just wanted to brush some of the rash onto a slide and take a look at it under a microscope. I thought, ok--look at it. I waited for about 10 minutes. She came back with no new information--it was exactly as I and the records said. I also shared with her that I had talked to Vet practices who were increasing "required" services and wanted to see my dog all the time, and that I was not going to participate with that practice. She said that she herself would want to see him every few months. When I went to check out, the receptionist told me that would be $162. I asked what was that for? I only had the cost of the visit and the two antibiotics, which were the exact same ones from my medical records. It should have been about $100. She said there was a $45 something charge for "the test." I asked what test? Basically Dr. Robinson ran a test on my dog's skin condition without explaining what she wanted to do, what information it would provide and how much it would cost. I was given no information with which to make an informed decision. I would have refused it, as my dog has had this for about 5 years off and on. I was very upset and told the receptionist that I didn't appreciate being charged for something that I did not ask for, and was not informed about. I actually asked for my dog's records and took them with me, and said that I would not be bringing him in every several months when he was having no problems. I called back later and asked for that extra charge removed--all clients deserve to make their own decisions about treatment, based on clear information from the Vet--especially since this was an already documented, chronic, non-life threatening condition. She said that they didn't have to inform clients or get permission to run tests, and that Dr. Robinson refused to remove the cost. I feel that this was unprofessional behavior by Dr. Robinson and the Practice as a whole. I don't know what has happened to Vet practices which many times seem to be simply looking for additional revenue producing services which sometimes may or may not be helpful, are certainly not necessary. I don't take my dog to see the doctor for well visits more than I myself see MY doctor. This has become ridiculous and I feel that I was taken advantage of. I will never go back to this Practice.
