Ocean Dental is comprised of a group of incredible professionals who genuinely care about you and your dental health. Every dealing with the staff at Ocean has always been pleasant and actually enjoyable! Making a visit to the dentist enjoyable MUST be a finely honed skill but it just seems to come naturally for them! I really like how they have educated me with pain management techniques and many other things. There's a reason why I'm staying with Ocean Dental despite an upcoming move to the Fraser Valley. :)

My experience with ocean dental has been nothing but pleasant. I had horrible dental experiences in the past with other offices, and was terrified ever since. Dr Poulad and the rest of the team at ocean treated me with kindness, respect, and endless patience. I currently live out of the area, but still travel 5 hours for appointments here.
The front line staff are very courteous and always greet everyone with a smile. My dental hygienist (I believe her name is Harpeet, If I am wrong please forgive me as I am old and forgetful) showed care and concern and gave me some very valuable tip on using my electric tooth brush to prevent aggressive brushing. As per her advice, I may finally decide to start flossing, every other day for now with the goal of daily flossing. I am seriously considering the mouth guard and will make a decision at the next appt. You guys are awesome.
I am tired of lectures and the constant pressure to upsell.
I have tried to tell them many times. Turns the whole visit into a negative and tense experience.
After I say no to upsells they act like “disappointed” parents. If the goal is to promote different and beneficial behaviour instead of just $$$ then it has the exact opposite effect in me.
Also still have not gotten over the fact that the last major work that was done resulted in a small injury and discomfort. When I went back lots of talk but not once then or since had the dentist apologize or even express sympathy.
After more than 20 years I think with this dentist I am likely going to go a different dentist. My husband, daughter and sons already moved on.
