few things very upsetting to me from my experience at Old Greenwich Dental.:
1) The quote was provided to me prior to the procedure . I know quotes are not always 100% , however, the staff provided me with incorrect quotes knowing that certain figures aren't correct for sure.
2) I needed 3 appoints for all my dental work to be done. Two of them were advised to me the day after another on the same side of the mouth with no consideration of the extent of the work that will be conducted on my teeth. I later thought it through and change the dates. I'm very very surprised that an experienced dental office would suggest to me to me tol have all the work done within 2 days on the same side of my mouth. I know my pain tolerance would not hold up to that and l feel lucky that i changed the dates. Much more consideration for patients well being is needed.
3) The dentist was very brutal at the procedure and there was no care of asking how I as a patient was feeling throughout the whole process. It felt like they were just trying to rush things through. At some stage, she was shaking very hard on a row of teeth that only needed filling. I do not know what she was doing by pulling them loose and no explanation on what she is planning to do before each steps. The gum above these teeth had a very hard time healing even a week after the procedure.
3) As part of the wisdom tooth extraction, dentists often prescribe anti biotics in case of infection, i was not prescribed of after the treatment. Days later, pain started and i had to be called into the office for an emergency check up, and no doctor was even present. This whole visit could have been avoided had they given me the pill to start off with. The good thing is they did send an assistant to meet me on the weekend to do some Xrays. ..but the advise from the doctors was the same. to take the pill.
Hi Yuqi, We do not provide our patients with quotes we provide estimates. We do our very best to give to an estimate as accurate as possible but every insurance plan has its own clauses and its impossible for us to know all of those clauses in every single policy. As far as scheduling, we tried to accommodate your schedule and get you in as soon as possible because you wanted to maximize on 2016's benefits. Wisdom tooth removal is a complex procedure. Our doctors are always concerned for the patients and achieving the best result possible for you. I'm sorry you felt otherwise. We hope you are feeling well now.
