We have been going to Dr. Howell for over 10 years I can't imagine going anywhere else my youngest son has had a lot of dental work done Dr Howell and his staff has always been good to him my son is a great patient I think that's because he's in great care. Dr. Howell was out of town one summer and I made the mistake of taking my son to my dentist at the time my son had an abscess not his first or last the dentist did not handle it well he was not general or quick (quick is good when dealing with kids if a dentist knows what they are doing and can do it quick it helps) Dr Howell always gives my son an antibiotic for and abscess this dentist did not i asked twice he didn't think the I fiction was still there well it was my son got sick I had to take him to my pediatrician for an antibiotic he got better having numerous abscess teeth that one was the only one that didn't go well. Dr. Howell knows my son so well when we call and hears its my son he always makes time even if he's out with his wife we have had some emergancy's!

Our 4 yr old had a cavity between his front teeth...we were given the option between a $600 crown or extracting his teeth. We debated between the crown and extraction...Dr Howell told us there were no risks or downsides to extracting his teeth. We decided to have his teeth extracted since he'd be losing them in the next year or two anyway and Dr Howell agreed with our decision. Two days later our son developed a severe infection in his gums. Dr Howell asked us to come in three seperate times to check up on our son...each visit lasted 15 min or less. Not once were we told we'd be billed for those visits; we assumed it was part of the cost of extraction. A couple weeks later we were billed $242...each 15 min checkup cost over $80. Our son now has damage to his gums due to the infection. Dr Howell took no accountability or responsibility for the situation. He was also un-apologetic. I asked him to reconsider the $242 bill given the circumstances. He ignored my request and simply sent us a late notice bill.

I have a first hand account of the way Dr. Howell treats his staff and his patients. It is very poor. He was had more turnover of employees than McDonalds. He is very superficial and is not polite to others. I know that several people have had major issues with him, and that he has such a struggle getting patients to return after the initial appointment. He then blames his outstanding staff for those issues and does not look inward for the cause of the problem, which is where most patients say is where the issues stem from. I also know that dishonesty is not uncommon with Dr. Howell. I have seen it. This is why I would never recommend this dentist to anyone.

We had a great experience.

Very expensive! I got a second opinion from my sister in laws dentist and he said that the work that Dr. Howell said absolutely needed to be done was not accurate. I ended up spending a fraction of the cost at Payne Family Dental then I would have spent with Dr. Howell.

I just think a pediatric dentist should be better with children. I just felt that he did not do very much at all to make my five year old daughter feel at ease or welcomed. It did not look like he was very gentle either.

I took my kids in for the first time last week. The staff was wonderful!! Everyone from the receptionist to the assistants, everyone except Dr. Howell. He came out to examine my daughter, didnt acknowledge us at all. Kept telling my kids to sit still and kept giving forceful and quite rude commands, without any kind tone or saying please. My kids were already frightened and by the end they were all crying which seemed to make Dr. howell even more upset. He did not treat my children nicely at all. A pediatric dentist should be more professional and caring towards children and he was not. My oldest daughter even said he told her to stop crying. I will never come back and would never recommend him to anyone. I cant believe he is even in business at all with how he treats people.

We loved how you just worked so quickly in an uncomfortable time for our little one.
