2-3 month wait for an appointment.
Extremely busy and chaotic.
Staff seemed run off their feet and trying their best.
Perhaps time for ownership to look into expanding the practise, hiring more people, or stop taking on new clients as it is clearly having a negative effect on service quality and staff mental health.
That being said I do understand that there is difficulty retaining staff in the current climate. It was clear that they were trying their best to keep things moving in a poorly managed situation.
Also, a practice of having clients who clearly cannot control their pets to leave them in their vehicles if there is going to be an extended wait might be a good idea.
I watched a poor cat who was clearly there for a euthanization, spend its last 30 minutes terrified as a stressed out and poorly trained dog barked and freaked out beside it. Staff was too overwhelmed to take care of the situation.
