I have one positive- the staff was nice and tolerant of a very upset 2 year old.
However, consultation with the doctor was after brushing and flossing while my daughter was very angry. I could barely hear the doctor amongst her cries. It would have been better to meet with the doc first to discuss things, especially since this was a first time visit. She also wasn't much in line with more natural and alternative approaches which is very important to my family.
My other frustration was that I was told on the phone that my cost for everything would be $180 with a discount if I paid in full. I denied the fluoride treatment, still was charged $180 (I did point out I didn't have the treatment to the receptionist) and no discount since that was cash only (which hadn't been expressed on the phone).
I also felt horrible that this was an open room with 3 chairs, no privacy and another girl had to listen to my toddler cries and screams during her visit. It may have served better if there was a more private space. I definitely saw the anxiety in that poor mom next to me that felt for me. Not a pleasant visit for anyone in close proximity. . I apologized afterward.
I was very disappointed and will not return here. I assumed that the high price I would pay would be worth the bells and whistles of a kid friendly place but there wasn't even play food for the play kitchen in the waiting room. I could have taken her anywhere for $60-$80 less. I also know if I wasn't self pay, my insurance would never pay that amount. They brushed, flossed, gave me a nice magnet, gave me a quick consult and my daughter got some stickers and a new toothbrush. I was very dissatisfied. My 2 year old daughter now uses words like scared, crying when talking about the dentist.
