There is a huge lack of communication to the patient. I went in for a consultation/X-ray for my first visit. Everyone at the office is very friendly! Still, I felt like just a number and not a patient. I had to wait over 30 minutes in the patient room to see the actual doctor. It seemed that the staff was more interested in getting me quickly tied to and pay a long-term visit plan, on my first consultation. At the end of the first visit, and to my surprise, I was told I had to come in a second time to review my results, which I found later were not extensive and could have easily been explained during my first visit.
It would have been nice to know that I was out-of-network and given a list of costs before coming back a second time. It was all a surprise during the second visit. The doctor expected me to stay for an adjustment before I was told how much the 45-visit plan would cost. Also, how could you possibly know I needed 45 visits before my first adjustment/treatment?? That's a big red flag for chiropractors.
Overall I did not like the lack of communication and that the patient's time is not a priority for this office. I understand that this is a business, but a patient's overall experience, time and needs should be the priority. I would have been happy to recommend Palmercare to friends and family even if I couldn't continue because of my insurance. Instead, my experience made me feel like I really wasn't missing out on a great office, if I never came back. Unfortunately, it was a waste of time.
