This was my second time having gum grafting done by Patton Smiles. My first experience with them was completely different than this past time. It was literally 3 days before my surgery was scheduled, and I had yet to be called by their staff to go over my surgery procedures and pre-op instructions. I had to call the office (to which I was told they ran out of time the day before to get in touch with me) only to find out they still did not have my pre-authorization from my insurance company to proceed with my surgery, which was scheduled in 3 days! It literally took me 2 minutes to pick up the phone, call my insurance company and have them re-fax my approval, since they had already done so 2 times before. I also didn't feel as if the staff really cared about having me as a patient. It felt as if I was rushed through surgery, and the doctor was immediately off to the next patient. I don't recall him even asking me how I was after the surgery or speaking to my husband to make sure everything was OK.
