My only complaint is the wait. You get to your appointment on time and you have to wait up to 30 minutes.

Terrible! I made an appointment for a trim, a week and 5 days in advance.

I arrive 10 mins early. The instructor informed me that phase one was fully occupied and if a phase two student can take care on me for an extra $5. More experience is great! I was happy to pay for a more experienced student. I got TRINITY. We went over the paper work, I asked for a 2 inch trim and added a deep conditioner treatment, and we began.

Starting with the shampooing station the water was way too hot, I said cold water is fine to minimize the time of finding an appropriate temperature, and better for your hair. Then deep conditioned and under the dryer for 10, back to the sink for rinsing. Return to the work station chair. She started brushing my wet long hair from the root with a tiny teeth comb with no product. Instead of working from the ends up, Causing pulling, breakage, and a tangled mess!!

She was cutting for about an hour and 10 mins and got the instructor to check her work. When I looked back at the floor to see the pile of hair.. there was barely anything. She cut off 1/2 an inch max, out of the 2 we had discussed! The instructor took over and cut my hair in 5 minutes, while the student asked her about the bake sale and coffee table event that the school was offering that day and picking at her face acne in the same mirror I was sitting in front of. Disgusting!

The students place NO IMPORTANCE on trying to help or practice on the waiting room full of people wanting and waiting to get their hair done. They are either on their phones, taking pictures of themselves in the mirrors, or doing their own hair.

While the service (shampoo only, nothing else) was fine, it took nearly an hour after my appointment time to be addressed, after I went to say something 40 minutes after my appointment should have begun.

Students need to spend more time learning and perfecting how to shampoo a clients hair. They need to make sure all the dye is washed out. Student need to make sure all the shampoo is out of the clients hair.

Also students need to learn how to blow dry clients hair. I have been there 4 times and each time the student needs help from the instructor because they don’t know how to. I find that odd. You blow dry your own hair, why do you not know how to blow dry someone else’s hair.

Their service is personalized to you, but be prepared to wait for your appointment to begin (not great) and for the instructors to sign off (a good thing). Because they're learning/mastering their craft, they take longer than your traditional salon, but I've never been disappointed with the quality.

I love my hair, it looks wonderful, have had lots of complements on it. My only issue is that it took 6 Hours, that is way to long. I understand that these are students, but if they are not faster proficient I dont think they should be able to be on the floor. Also, when I was in the washroom there was another student working on a client. Student was on her phone talking VERY LOUDLY & somewhat inappropriate. By not having her full attention on the client she got chemicals in said clients eye. Never once did I hear the client apologize, but she did get a floor supervisor & they washed the client's eye out. It is VERY UNPROFESIONAL to be on your phone when you are to be taking care of clients. It is also my understanding that student has been asked to leave a classroom more than once for being on her phone. If her phone is more important than learning then she does not need to be in class or on the floor.
