My visit occurred on 5/24/17. I was serviced by a young woman who was nice & very apologetic, but did not take suggestions or instructions very well. When washing my hair, she just rubbed shampoo on the outer layer. When I suggested the she "dig in" and get down to scalp, she ignored me, thus doing the same with the conditioner. When drying my hair--she kept aiming the blow dryer at the crown of my head and brushing it, never getting down to my scalp. When she started preparing the flat iron, I told her my hair was not dry and she needed to part the hair and get down to the scalp. She told me several times that she was not used to working on hair with so much "texture". A female instructor stopped by and told her that she needed to part the hair also. She made a couple of parts in the hair and aimed the dryer at them. Once she started using the flatiron, she did accept some instructions from a male instructor, but for some reason refused to put the iron close enough to the scalp, resulting in "natural" roots. The female instructor came by and tried to clean up some of the problems towards the front of my hair--it was acceptable enough to get me out of there. My, personal, opinion is that she was either afraid to or just did not want to put her hands in my hair. This is not my first visit here, but it will be my last, if, I have to be serviced by this student. I had decided to give her a second chance, but after speaking with family members and friends, decided it would be a waste of money and time. I like coming to this school, and it can be pleasant and beneficial, for student & client, if you get the right students.
