It's never too late to talk about car maintenance to keep your car running without problems. AAA & most auto manufacturers recommend the following:
Change oil & filter every 3,000 miles or 3 months
Check coolant condition & freezing protection (flush cooling system every 2 years)
Check tire condition and rotate every 6,000 miles
Check brakes at least every 15,000 - 25,000 miles
Transmission Service every 30,000 miles
Alignment once a year or every 10,000 miles improves tire wear, handling, & mileage
Most cars need timing belts replaced every 60,000 miles
Check fuel filters, air filters, pcv, plugs...need to be inspected for condition - inexpensive maintenance now can reduce costly repairs later
