I paid $1100 out of pocket for a root canal at this dental office because I just started a new job and I don't have dental insurance yet. Unfortunately, it looks as though I am going to have the root canal redone because it wasn't done properly this time around.
The prognosis for my tooth over time is not good, it is still infected and if I can't find a dentist who can perform a better root canal I will most likely lose the tooth which no one ever wants to have happen.
Everyone in the office was really nice but the work that was done on my tooth was not optimal and it is too bad because these procedures are expensive and are meant to last a little longer than a few weeks or months. If done well, a root canal should last many, many years so I am upset to say the least.
I am sorry to leave a review like this but I think accountability for ones' work is the most important thing and I have not experienced that with this dentist.
This review is quite surprising at best, as this patient would not allow the materials to be used that were necessary for the best result. Also, currently infected root canals do not heal in 3 days, it takes more like 3 months, with antibiotics which she would not allow either. Long term prognosis is very far from known at this point, less than a week after the procedure. As to accountability, even with the patient not allowing the regular filling material in the root, I still told her that I would warranty the work with a credit toward any possible implant later, should the root canal fail. That is certainly not standard, and I'm not sure what more accountability would be expected.
