My experience here was about as awful as you can get. I brought my Labrador in for breathing problems to see what the problem was. The vet sedated my dog and recommendations were to put her down. This was all within 10 minutes as my dog walked in the door on her own. I declined after to put my dog down as it was almost felt like this was forced to do. So after declining I wanted to take my dog home as the vet had sudated her to be put down without my authority. We took her home she is fine walking around, eating, moving around on her own without assistance and no breathing problems6. This was a terrible experience and it made me wonder how many people have brought there pet her and this vet has put them down vrs. seeing what's really going on with the animal. Seems all about money vrs the care of your pet. Very stressful and very unprofessional. At this point we are going to write the press and the media about this as this is just bad judement of a licenced vet who did not care about life but preferred death which seemed more about the all mighty dollar Terrible experience for my daughter and myself.

I know this is a pet ER, i wish they did full service, that is how much i love and trust the staff here. i will take all my pets here for any service they provide. Unfortunately. i will have to go to a regular vet for other services.

We had a horrible experience! All the vet did was tell me that my cat was in pain… Which is what I know, and why I brought him in! She told me to give him pain medicine, which would've killed him once we found out what was actually wrong! He had gone into a prescription medicine, and any medicine like that on top of that could have killed him.

Had she taken five minutes to actually examine him, perhaps she would've Stumbled uponthe right course of treatment.

On top of that, I brought my seven month old son with me, and she suggested that I nurse sitting on the toilet. When I told her "I'm sorry, I won't do that, because I would not eat my breakfast sitting on the toilet," she looked at me as though I had grown a second head.

Dr Jones provided a thorough exam of our Labrador a diagnosis that had been over looked and never even considered. We have such confidence in Dr. Jones.

kind, loving, knowledgeable, sincere, immediate, perfect.

I would have liked a little phone call update to my cat's progress and during checkout, an demonstration/lesson on how to feed the cat would have been helpful.

I thought the prices were reasonable and the care was good. My only criticism would be maybe a little more information concern on the front end. When I brought my dog in I was in a panic and it seemed the process to check him in was lengthy with little information for the pet owner. Maybe tell the owner the doctor will be in as soon as possible, etc. For me, it felt like the check in was taking forever because I was so worried and I didn't know if the doctor would be able to see us right away or....

The staff was kind and efficient and got my very swollen dog less swollen and out the door quickly!

Dr Jones helped us with our sick Lab by phone with direction and advise prior. There was no pressure to bring him in to be seen. After a couple days of minimal improvement she finally did recommended we bring him by.

Her approach was conservative and progressive (she didn't immediately recommend expensive tests and procedures)

A couple of hours later we walked out with minimal damage to the wallet and a great old dog well on the road to a happy recovery.

Poway Eyeworks

I have mixed feelings about Poway Eyeworks. The office itself is nice--very clean and has a large selection of glasses. The front desk employees were also very friendly and did not pressure me into getting a new pair of glasses. However, my visit wit the optometrist is what makes me question if I will return. The optometrist, Dr. Desai, was nice. However, I left the office not even knowing what my eyesight was exactly. During my exam, she told me that I have a certain eye condition (that I have since forgotten the name of it, since I wasn't given a sheet with my exam results), and when I proceeded to ask questions, she kept brushing it off with, "it is too early to tell." Even if my question was, "Can this condition be bad? What's the worst that can happen?" She kept avoiding the question and would move quickly to the next topic or discussion of my dry eye. I did not understand why she would not answer any of my questions and just give a "it is too early to tell since this is the first time I saw you" answer. I was in a rush to leave as I had to pick up my child from day care, so it wasn't until I got home that I realized, "wow, I just went to the optometrist and I guess everything is fairly good since I wasn't told flat out that something is wrong, but at the same time, I don't even know what my eyesight changed too." I might give Poway Eyeworks another shot next year but see a different optometrist.
