Pharaoh's Hairum Salon and Spa opened in 1980 with only three employees in a 600 square foot space. In an industry where salons were run by stylists with little or no business skills, owners Stephen and Susan Minute opened with the goal to run as if Pharaoh's Hairum were already a large corporation, to help bring professionalism to our industry, to provide staff with goals and opportunities to grow and advance, and to provide our clients with exceptional customer service and satisfaction. Within three years we outgrew our space and purchased our current salon on West Henrietta Road. In 1991, a second location was added in the Town of Pittsford; and in 1992 a third location opened in the City of Rochester. In 1995, the City location business was combined into the Henrietta location and the entire building was remodeled into a Salon and Spa. In the year 2000, we moved the Pittsford location into the town of Fairport at Packett's Landing on the canal, and designed a separate spa and larger salon.
Our philosophy is for the entire salon and spa to work together as a team to service each individual client and provide excellent customer service and outstanding technical skills in a healthy nurturing environment. We strive to provide the tools and assistance necessary to our highly-trained technicians in order to help them achieve their goals individually and as a team.
Because we so strongly believe in our teamwork, we encourage our clients to please feel free to receive services from different stylists and technicians with our company. This will provide our clients with various artistic inputs and access to multi-talents. It also helps our clients to feel comfortable with all the technicians so when they are scheduling appointments it is more convenient for them.

I have been going o pharoao's for years. I referred many people to it as well. Reason being, it's a fantastic place! The atmosphere is great as are the people who run the facility....and the beauticians! I also love that they offer products that have less dangerous chemicals too.

Received a pedicure. The atmosphere was soothing and relaxing. The technician was friendly and competent. However the actual pedicure was similar to what I would receive at other spas that are half the price.
We are so glad you were happy with your technician and pedicure! Because your review is anonymous, I am not sure whether you received our Express Pedicure ($35) or our full Spa Pedicure ($50). Our Spa Pedicures are 45 minutes and are performed in a relaxing secluded room while our guests enjoy a warm neck wrap, a beverage and chair massage. The treatment includes a relaxing whirlpool foot bath; callouses and dry skin are gently sloughed away, followed by an exfoliation massage of feet and calfs, with a mask treatment and a moisturizer treatment performed on both the feet and calfs. Your nails should then be shaped and beautifully polished. The products we use are natural and organic. Our salon/spa also has a custom-designed ventilation system to ensure excellent air quality. Our pedicures should be a relaxing spa experience, and if you received anything less, we would want to provide you with a complimentary gift card to provide us with an opportunity to ensure that is the experience you receive! The technician came out and did a professional installation and worked with us to fully explain the product. So far we are very pleased and hope our 4 month old German Shepard puppy has many years of freedom to safely move about the acre that we had protected
My experience with my optometrist appointment was positive. The exam was thorough and I was provided with sufficient information and advice.
My subsequent appointment with the optician was not positive. I was one of two people in the waiting area signed in for help and after the previous customer was served I waited 15 minutes (as the only one there!) before I finally asked the girl at the desk what the delay was. It turns out the optician was just distracted and "didn't notice me"... not a positive start. The subsequent service was decent and I was fitted for glasses I liked and was told the glasses would be back within 2 weeks. After 2.5 weeks with no word on the completion of the glasses I returned to the office and inquired as to whether the glasses were ready. I was told that they had come in but were sent back to the lab for repair, yet I was never informed as to the delay or any re-adjusted expectation for completion..
I guess I am most disappointed because I pay a significant premium ($800+ glasses) for good service along with excellent quality. Falling back on service makes me want to promptly take my optical business elsewhere where I might get better service.
If I were to review this based on my experience with the optometrist, I would give it a 10, but as a complete end-to-end business, I'd have to drop my review to a 7.
