This was my first vet visit with my dog. Unfortunately I haven't been anywhere else to compare them to. So far so good. I got there early and they assisted me when I arrived and didn't make me wait. I'll definitely return for my follow up visit.

I had to take my mom’s cat in again because she came home with a cold after an overnight stay at PVVH. She was given a shot of antibiotics. The cost for them was about $90. This during the visit I went inside the clinic to observe. Two of the staff including one of the veterinarians was unmasked. I did not like this and it made me feel uncomfortable. If they do not care to wear a mask in front of customers then I wonder if they bother with it behind closed doors when they are handling pets.

The last thing that cemented my decision to (after over 20 year of patronage) not return to PVVH was when a short haired female tech told my mom in Spanish that the cat came in with a cold and that she did not get sick during the overnight stay. Why the tech felt compelled to tell my mom this is beyond me.

When I spoke with Dr. Khan on Monday he did not mention that the cat had cold symptoms. He would have given me instructions on how to treat or manage it at home. The second veterinary I spoke with also did not mention anything about a cold because I am sure he also would have given me instructions.

My appraisal of the staff after my observations is that they are very unprofessional. They are newer and younger staff and perhaps they are all learning how to work in a professional environment and that is why their service is so lack luster. In addition, the inside of the hospital smells like they clean it with a dirty mop; this was the first thing I noticed when I walked in.

I’m researching a new veterinary. It’s costly to keep my pets healthy and I need to trust the people I’m taking the to and at this moment I no longer trust the staff at PPVH.

Great service just wish I would have been seen closer to my appointment time. However Dr. Pannu and his staff were absolutely great! He took his time to explain what he was recommending and why.

Very nice staff and clean environment I like that they took my dog to the back and did his shots I don’t think I would have been able to stand to see him get his shots. I especially appreciated they young man and who took my puppy and gave the shots.

I want to give a better review, but at this time I can’t. I have been a customer since Dr. Khan was the main veterinary and I don’t think some of the new veterinarians offer services as good as his. In addition my mom’s cat returned home with a cold after staying overnight. Unfortunately the service has been hit or miss for me the last couple of years. The staff is friendly overall, especially Clarissa and Sylvia, but a few of the newer staff are not as friendly or patient. Sylvia and Clarissa are actually one of the reasons I keep going back. All tests returned back showing that - aside from pancreatitis - there was nothing else going on with the patient. She was given some meds and fluids and sent home. She is doing much better. The bill was about $750. This was for bloodwork, X-rays , fluids , meds and an overnight stay. I’m happy that the patient is back home and doing better, but the service was not what it used to be. I would have liked for someone to speak with my mom as well not just me. I was at work and I had to keep calling my mom to tell her what the doctor and staff told me. I suppose the pandemic has also created challenges and the staff are still learning to work through them to provide better services.

My most recent visit was very good. Very quick in, wonderful time with the vet, and quick out. My previous experience with a different pet, was a little more rough, lack of communication on anesthesia and no food after midnight. I was frustrated on that one, but this last visit for a general checkup went really really well.
