It has been WAY too long since I've been to the dentist, mostly because it has never been something I remotely enjoyed and second because I didn't have insurance coverage and despite knowing it's a necessary evil, I kept putting it off and putting it off, out of fear and not wanting to spend the money. Since my company recently added dental to our benefits package, I figured it was time to go. My old dentist is not within my new network, so I set off on a quest to find a new dentist. Based on location and reviews I landed on Progressive Dental, and I am very happy about that. Right from the start, the women who answered the phone (I BELIEVE her name was Crystal?) was great! I work in customer service, so I tend to judge a little when ever I have to schedule anything over the phone. As soon as I got off the phone I was impressed, she was very pleasant and helpful, which is not as common as you'd think. When I had to call in to re-schedule, same lovely lady answered and again, was super helpful despite my annoying scheduling requests. Once I was in for my appointment Dawn (the Hygienist) was amazing, I had a few issues caused by my laps in dental visits and she (and Dr. Rao) we're both very clear in explaining what was needed and what the process was going to be. When scheduling my next appointment, Dawn (at the desk) not only helped me schedule, but explained what the charges were going to be moving forward, what my insurance covered, etc. It's been a while since I've been in, so this maybe standard practice now, but I thought it was great knowing what I was going to need to pay over the next few visits and I wouldn't be hit with some random, massive bill at the end. That being said, again I haven't been in a while so I don't REALLY know, but the prices (both with and with out insurance) seemed very reasonable. Despite my dislike for the dentist this has been a very pleasant experience from start to finish and I will defiantly be recommending Progressive Dental to anyone who asks.
