I can't say enough about it - I love my hair again and I owe it all to Chrystal May. It's beautiful! Since my hair and I are starting to show we are getting older, dry-er, and grey-er, I thought those days were long gone.
Before I had children, I used to be one of those lucky people that could eat anything they wanted and not gain weight, had tons of energy, and didn't have to do much with their hair ... And then boom! It all changed fast.
After the body changes that go along with having kids, stress, and age, I was starting to give up on feeling pretty since I had no idea what to do with myself - I never had to do it before. The clothes I used to wear didn't fit, the styles I used to enjoy wearing looked horrible on me, my skin started succumbing to gravity, and the hair on my head didn't act the same anymore. I was a mess!
For anyone feeling like they just woke up in someone else's skin, I'm here to tell you that there's hope! Chrystal is a kind person and truly a gifted artist and stylist. She can help you too! She listens and works to give you exactly what you want - even if you don't know what it is or can't articulate it. Best of all, she'll tell you if what you have in mind won't work for your skin tone or face shape and she's always right ... She did that for me and I am SOO grateful!
Sadly, honesty is hard to find these days - most people are too afraid tell the truth since it's easier to keep quiet or go along with the crowd ... but Chrystal is not most people.
Chrystal is a real person and goes the distance with you. She's a confident professional who truly wants you to look your best and wants to do her best work every time. If you tell her you want a color or cut that won't work for you, she'll let you know and then suggest something even better than what you imagined for yourself and keeps thinking and working on it at every visit. Not everyone can do this sort of work ... She's an absolute gem! I look forward to my hair appointments and trust my stylist again.
Most of all, the atmosphere at Red Stella is relaxed, the energy is good, and the people are real. No weird vibes or mean girls here.
My new "do" got me off the couch and back into the world - no more giant t-shirts and ugly mom jeans - I'm now motivated to search for a new clothes style for my new body type and my new hair gave me a reason and direction to do it. When I greet my cool hair in the mirror every morning, I know can be a pretty stylish woman again!
Changing your hair can help motivate you to change the rest of your look and your life. I'm living proof. ;)
