Richmond Exteriors installed our gutters in August of this year. We were so pleased with that experience, we ordered on August 16, a patio door. We were told it would be three to four weeks. After that we began to call repeatedly and were always told it had not arrived yet. Finally, after THANKSGIVING, my husband phoned and got upset. Low and behold, the next day the installer phoned asking to install it on November 29. I find August 16 to November 29th totally unacceptable. It doesn't end there. Rick said he would be arriving around noon that changed to 2:00 which became 3:30 and meant the installation was then happening in the dark. While doing the installation, which my husband offered to help with and did, Rick was spraying insulation around the door which proceeded to come inside. He said it needed to dry for five minutes and he would take it off. However, he forgot and left. The next morning my husband called Roger Stone, the scheduler and told him to be sure and phone our home phone before coming because we would be gone in the afternoon. Of course, Rick evidently did not get the message because he calls the cell phone from our driveway, but no worries , he says because he lives nearby and will come back. And that was the end of that. That was Thursday and on Tuesday I was through. I called the company and spoke with Mr Stone who admitted they had dropped the ball with us all the way along. Of course, they did not drop the ball with the invoice. It came through email before the job was finished. When I requested an adjustment on the bill, after 10 days of not hearing from them, I contacted them again. Mr Stone offered us $25 off. While that was hugely "magnanimous " of this company, I declined. Mr Stone did not seem embarrassed to make that offer at all. I've only ever written good reviews for companies so this is a first. With the response for the adjustment, I felt free to review our service from this company.
