my visit was fine. smooth check in process, handing my cat over, payment, communication about the service. This visit was avoidable. A failure to deliver my authorization to proceed with testing using blood already at the lab (which had a 24 hr window of use). As a result, blood wasn’t tested. I followed up a day later and was told I had missed the window and would need to bring my cat in again, as in make another appointment to do blood work for this other test. I advised them I had called within a couple hours of my Dr’s message to OK the additional test. Was put on hold a few times while they confirmed i had called in in a timely manner. They asked who I spoke with and I unfortunately didn’t get that persons name but we both know the day and time that call was received. They can figure that out on their time. So I was offered a tech visit. Yes it’s cheaper than a Dr’s visit, but it wasn’t my error. Put on hold again. Ultimately the agreed to not charge for the visit. I wouldn’t have been there in the first place if they’d had better communication. Still had to bring my poor cat in again, get blood drawn again. They owe him an apology. Not thrilled to have my schedule interrupted to repeat this process. But I need their help & they’re closest. I do like working with Dr DiSpirito who is knowledgeable and experienced. I’ve found the others to be so new that anything nuanced is outside of their range. This was decided after my Experience with my other cat who had to be euthanized. I specifically requested Dr DiSpirito (ONLY ) to work with after 3 of their other vets offered no solutions for my ailing cat. I was trusting/easy going until it became clear they were not experienced enough to trouble shoot the symptoms he had. We wasted much time and money going back and forth checking on worsening symptoms. I’m still here because of Dr DiSpirito and their office’s proximity. Staff is friendly, helpful. If your pet is healthy and needs typical care, that’s probably fine. Older pets starting to have mysterious symptoms/changes in health, need to be seen by Dr DiSpirito. Experience counts, not just textbook knowledge.

Our 12 yr. old dog was diagnosed with cancer in her abdomin after blood work and x-rays were taken at Ringwood Animal Hospital. The doctor was so kind and through when explaining the diagnose and options in great detail for us to make the best decisions for our dog. Thank you to all who work at Ringwood Animal for taking care of our dog over the past 12 yrs.! We would recommend going there to anyone who needs care for their pet!

Great staff and very flexible appointment schedule. I have been taking my dog here for everything for about 8 years now and I have no complaint. She is not great with other dogs and they accommodate her by getting her in first thing in the morning when she can go in and out alone! Great location and great staff all around.
