I haven't gone to any one stylist consistently in my life. I've always been told my hair is too fine to do anything with. It'll never hold a curl, have a fuller body, etc. Ritual was suggested by a girlfriend after telling her about my hair hell, and I made an appointment with the first available stylist. Enter Abby. The first time I went, she guided me towards trimming a lot of dead weight off the ends, which made my hair look healthier. Then she took my "impossible, too fine" hair and put curls in it. That lasted like 36 hours which is about 35.5 hours longer than any other curl ever.
This week I asked for her recommendations on getting fuller hair and, against everything I'd been told, she advised me to cut off 2-2.5 inches. So I went for it. Now it looks like I have actual volume. It's incredible. Without her I never would have gone a little shorter and I'd still be complaining about how terrible my hair is. Now I know it was that I didn't have the right stylist. Now I do, and I can't imagine going anywhere else.
