Everyone is so friendly. We went right in at the appointment time. The two cats, Zander and Spike (Fury) were not stressed at all. We even got their nails clipped. Thank you.

An excellent experience. The front desk staff is very warm and professional. The assistant (Maurice) was equally warm, kind and professsional. Dr. Early impressed me with her kindness and concern about my cat. She was extremely thorough and explained her thinking and plan to me very well. I was grateful that no one judged or criticized me for not bringing my cat to a vet for many years. I felt welcome and I felt that my cat was very well cared for. Thank you so much!

We were scheduled for a 12pm appointment. At 1115 we were called and told the doctor had an emergency and asked if we could come in 2 1/2 hours after our originally scheduled time. We had rented a zipcar to transport and were out the rental fee as they didn't give us enough time. Not a problem. We rented another zipcar for the new time. When we arrived we were greeted and asked to sit. The front desk staff then left the lobby unattended while I sat there for over an hour waiting for my appointment. There were no other clients in the lobby or the exam rooms. I was completely alone in the lobby while I waited and waited and waited. It wasn't until I was roomed that an apology for the wait was made. After a brief doctor's exam, she recommended bloodwork even though I had provided them with all my pet's previous bloodwork from 2 months prior. I explained that it was in their system. They said they could not find it. My wife explained that when she brought it in during a previous appointment with our other pet, they had confused our pets and that they would find the paperwork under the other pet's file. Even though on that previous visit we were assured it would be corrected, it wasn't. They took blood and I went home with a 5 day dose of antibiotics. Even though my main concern was three rapidly growing lumps that appeared shortly after increasing my dog's apoquel from the maintenance to a loading dose. The doctor stated that the loading dose was a solid dose to give as maintenance and didn't seem well versed on the possible malignancy that has been linked to apoquel. I am now seeking a second opinion as she did not offer an aspirate. My wife then called upon my arrival back home and declined the laboratory work, she was grateful for Judith's kind words and helpfulness which was negligently absent during my visit. This visit was a total waste of time. Not only did I have to rent a car twice, but I got a ticket because I was FINALLY with the doctor when my meter ran out. Money aside, leaving a client unattended an hour past their appointment time without an apology or update is poor customer service. I understand things happen, emergencies take place and doctors get ill too. But don't leave your clients in a ghost town of a hospital unattended without proper communication and remorse. It's just bad business.

The Dr was wonderful but we had a wait time of 30 minutes.

Riverside Animal Hospital replied:

Please accept our apology about the wait time. We pride ourselves on being timely, but we do see all pets who are ill which sometimes means our schedule is not adhered to as closely as we like.

Great place

I sent an inquiry to Riverside, not about my own animals. A friend is having a behavioral and situational problem with her dogs upstate that required some professional advice. I reached out to Riverside, and Dr. Weber was good enough to respond with specifics, even though this was not about my pets. I greatly appreciate that.

Professional, welcoming, engaging. I am very pleased with Dr. Freedman and Nurse, Alicia (I'm sorry that I did not get her last name). They were very encouraging. Answered all of my questions making certain I had a clear understanding of everything before I left. I was made to feel very comfortable. I feel certain that I brought the kitten I rescued to the right place.
