I was a new patient. I saw Dr. Rosenfeld because my eye exam was covered under my new insurance. He was very thorough in his exam and I have no complaints about that. I was being seen for a contact lens exam which I told his receptionist when I mad the appointment. Once seated in his exam room, he asked if I had brought my script from my old exam. I had not, nor had I been asked to bring that info. Then he asked about glasses and asked if I had brought those. I had not since I did not know they would be needed if he was to dilate my eyes. When finished, he quoted me a price for the lenses. It seemed quite high. My fee, with insurance, just for the exam was $140, plus $16 for retina photo, which I had agreed to pay. My previous optometrist never charged my more than $80 for the exact same exam. I guess using insurance isn't always the least expensive way to go. So, check your fees if you are using insurance. As a side note, if you are fragrant sensitive, beware! The office/or receptionist has a high perfume fragrance.
