Overall, my shellac manicure was pleasant enough, BUT. . .
I had booked my appointment online for a shellac removal ($15) and shellac treatment (together on the website the price is $40). When we started my tech said, "So we'll be doing the spa manicure with shellac treatment today." or something to that effect. I did not realize that her sentence added on the price of a "spa manicure" (with a range of $35 - 40). I somehow ended up being charged $70 for services taking the 1 hour expected. I truly thought the scrub and light massage was part of every manicure. I felt quite ripped off. Why take online bookings if the tech isn't going to look at them, and at least point out that an extra treatment (included at every other spa I've ever been to) is being added? I won't go back, nor recommend to friends.

We are very happy that your service was pleasant! We appreciate your feedback and we are sorry for any confusion. When you booked online the 'Service Requested' that you clicked on was 'Manicure' and not the 'Nails-Shellac' option. In the 'Additional Comments' you had said you wanted shellac removed and reapplied. This is why you were booked for a manicure with shellac and not just a shellac application. Again we are sorry that there was some confusion in booking this appointment. We will do our best to try to make sure this doesn't happen in the future.

Overall, I was really happy with my experience. I was disappointed that I had to pay so much for the extra colour used on my hair. I am used to paying about $25 extra for the extra product, but based on the prices on your website and my receipt, I paid about $43 for my extra colour yesterday. That is a lot and, unfortunately, I may not be able to justify that extra cost in the future. That being said I am happy with my cut and colour. Amy was really nice, and did a good job.

We are glad you enjoyed your service with Amy! We appreciate your feedback. Our color prices are based on the amount of color used with a starting price of $65-$70 for up to 3oz of color. Amy had used 7oz of color on your hair which is over twice the amount of an average head of hair. After 3oz of color we charge per oz for the extra color used. We also use a more expensive color line to give us maximum shine, optimum gentleness, ultimate durability and 100% grey coverage. We hope this explains our pricing to you.
