I made an appointment to have a cut and color treatment and not only was this my first time there, but my experience was AMAZING. My future professional was Canda and she was just so wonderful, helpful, and excited to take care of me! It made me so happy that not just Canda, but almost every student and intructor there was so nice and excited about what I wanted to do with my hair. The moment I showed Canda the photo the sunset coloring I wanted she got very excited about making my hair perfect! I was there for about 5 hours but every minute was absolutely worth it and I was comfortable and happy the whole time. My hair is beautiful and I am still so so in love with it. I have been getting so many compliments and can't stop telling everyone how great my experience was. I will continue to frequent the Paul Mitchel School in sacramento for cuts and color! Thank you all so so so much!!! I only wish I could post a picture of my amazing sunset hair to this review!
The front desk folks know me and had me checked in before I walked in the door. I was with a new future professional and thankful she listened to me when I said how I wanted my hair cut. It took a long time to get my hair cut the way I want but the learning leaders are gone who listened to me so I was a bit worried her learning leader wouldn't listen, and give us a hard time. No matter my future professional cut the shape I wanted. Also lifted out color at the same time as dying the areas that won't get color black. She added some purple into the black to make a much richer color. I can't wait for when I go back for the color. I'm confident she will make it pop.
My day maker was very funny and great to interact with, however her haircut left much to be desired. The end result was nothing like the model I asked for. The cut isn't straight and is uneven in some areas. I didn't have the opportunity to have my day maker fix my haircut because she was double booked and had another client waiting for over thirty minutes. I opted to just reschedule for next week to have a barber fix the cut.
It was a root touch-up. The roots came out darker than the rest of my hair, which is noticeable, and will create a color distinction as my hair grows out unless it's re-covered. Otherwise, I'm happy with the service.
The student who did my hair did an amazing job with the color. There were a couple things that can be improved: 1) her and her peers were talking about weekend plans. I don't mind that but she would stop what she was doing to my hair to talk. 2) for a touch up, I was there for over 3 hours! She was pretty slow, a lot of times because she was talking but she took forever to blow dry my hair. I could have saved a good 45 mins if she would just focus on my hair 3) I had hair dye all over my face, neck, and back. She didn't clean me up at all.
