With a lot of salons, it feels like the stylist is rushing trying to get done. Here at Paul Mitchell, they really take their time to make sure you leave happy. While it sometimes can take a while, it feels good to feel taken care of and leave with something you are happy with. I have not been disappointed at all with this salon.

Great price! This place requires a lot of patience and it's easy to forget that these are students. My student had never waxed before, didnt tell me to change or where the lockers were, and I reminded her. I had to ask for a place to chamge, ask them to close the gaping door (you are undressed and randoms of both genders wander by nonstop gawking in). She worked extremely slowly (even the instructor noticed and told her to speed up). Staff and students chit chatted non stop, with lots of unprofessional complaining. She did not listen to my requests and burned off my skin in one spot. Buuer beware. This takes patience. The price is low for a reason. This time I requested an esthetician student. Hopefully better.

My stylist was open and up for the challenge. i truly appreciate the time and effort she put into my hair care. The time was lengthy but< it was worth it at the end.

The learning leader lina always knows what I want. She is great at excellent customer service, checks in periodically, and is very much a guidance to the students in phase 2. I really appreciate her recalling how I like my hair done! She's the best!

The girls did a great job.

My only constructive feedback is when consulting a client on what they want do not use technical cosmology lingo. I had no idea what "brassy" or "level 3"..even after all this my color came out different than the picture they showed me on line. That part I'm not too worried about because it can be fixed. :)

I've been a loyal customer of PM for 2 years.

Until yesterday I'd only had one bad cut, and the experience was still pleasant so I came back once my hair had grown out. But after yesterday I'm not sure I'll be back.

I got there shortly before 10 and was there until after 3pm. For color.

FOR COLOR!

I realize I asked the opinion of the learning leader, and ended up going with what she suggested, yet there was a much faster way to do it.

They started me in lightner, and I was in it for 2 hours before it was rinsed out and bleach put it it's place. First, I could've started in bleach and just been checked sooner, like in 15 minute increments, instead of lightened at every 45 and wasting all that time. The other issue is, the darkest part of my hair was bleached LAST instead of first so it had the least amount of time on it. Finally, at 230 color was put on. 30 minutes later I was rinsed, and decided no style since I was already late for work. Then, this morning getting ready my fiance notices I have a blonde spot on the back of my head, and a purple spot still on my left side. I have a pixie. How was this not noticed in the nearly 6 hours I was there?

It's very noticeable, yet I dont have 5 hours to have it fixed. I'll be using a box dye just to cover it so I dont get yet another write up at work. (They were already mad about the purple hair, then being late from a 5+ hour dye didn't help.) I'm sad that PM isn't what it used to be. If Jackie was the learning leader this wouldn't have happened. She understands colored hair and direct dye, and she would've known what to do. In half the time, too.
