I am 53 yrs old & have faithfully been taking care of my teeth & quarterly preventive dental care until the pandemic hit. The pandemic forced me to take a break & during the pandemic my last dentist retired so I took a break b4 I finally found Dr. Utterbuck & Dr. Sweeney. I obviously had to play catch which entailed 5 cavities getting filled, 1 root canal & 2 teeth removed. I've been waiting to write this review until I could give my review after multiple appointments & not just 1. Through all of that work, I felt no pain. Both the dentist's, hygienists & front office is OUTSTANDING!! As far as the pain during all of this work is on you. They make sure you don't feel any pain & if you do, i just raise my hand & they immediately stop. Past dentist have said "it's going to hurt" but Dr. Utterbuck & Dr. Sweeney go out of their way to ensure you're comfortable. They both say, "you're in control of the pain". I raise my hand or make a noise & they IMMEDIATELY stop until you are ready. Outstanding customer service! We have 1 car so they work around my husband's & my schedule. My teeth have never felt better or should I say cleaner. I absolutely love all of them & would highly recommend them to anyone! My husband wanted me to add him. He's actually the one who found Dr. Utterbuck & Dr. Sweeney when his tooth was in unbearable pain. They took him in immediately & he came home w/ raving reviews. He only goes to a dentist when it's an emergency so for him to rave so much, I knew I had to try them bcuz at that time, I still didn't have a dentist. My husband has NEVER raved about any dentist until Dr. Utterbuck & Dr. Sweeney. My husband is 61 so he has more yrs on me but not experience. I'm a 20 yr vet so I have had many many dentist & experiences w/ multiple dentist compared to most people who usually see the same dentist over the yrs. I sincerely recommend everyone to them. There located on 814 Newton Rd., off off Diamond Springs which is convenient I believe to most people in the Hampton Roads area. They also send the information to your insurance company so there's no surprises. You know exactly what the price is, prior to your visit. P.S. after Delta Dental stopped covering veterans my last dentist gave me a few insurer's to look into. I went w/ "GEHA" & never looked back. GEHA is actually more affordable & I'm definitely paying less & getting more! It's a win win for everyone! To everyone on the staff, I want to personally thank you! I appreciate all the accommodations you'll make! I am extremely comfortable with everyone & it all started the moment I walked in the door way back in February & umpteen appointments later. I sincerely appreciate every last one of y'all!

Took my vehicle in for a simple state inspection. They took my vehicle and by lunch had the inspection completed, but said that the brake fluid tested dirty. I had noticed some diminished brake response the last couple months and couldn't figure out the issue, after the brake fluid bleed and replacement it was like I had new brakes. Would reccomend them to all my friends, very professional, knowledgable.
