I have had my eyebrows threaded three times now at Salon Atash. The first two experiences were excellent and my eyebrows looked great! However, my most recent experience was not. I rushed over from work for my 5pm appointment only to find two others in front of me. I didn't mind the wait so much, but I was frustrated that I had rushed over only to sit and wait. Their late policy is strict, which is why I did not want to be late. As it turns out, it doesn't really matter. When it was finally my turn in the chair, I knew something wasn't quite right. She had accidentally taken off too much from both the top and bottom of the innermost part of my eyebrow, leaving more of a point whereas the other was squared off. I pointed it out to her and she said that was just how the hair grew in and that I could fill it in with a pencil. I have very dark eyebrows and have never had to fill them in, that is NOT how my hair grows. She then proceeded to fill them in with a color that did not match my hair at all. At that point I was so frustrated I didn't push the issue any further. The only reason I will return is because I had purchased a set amount/package of services. Needless to say, it seems to be pretty hit or miss here.
Hi Mary Cate, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that you had to wait - we have a consistent issue with customers being on time and that often negatively effects the customers who respect our policies. Also, as with any aesthetic industry, its nearly impossible to fully regulate exactly how long any one appointment will take, and we appreciate you being on time so that we can at least start in a prompt manner. We appreciate your patience and hope you will continue to adhere to your scheduled appointment time despite this instance being inconvenient. Our late policy is strict in an attempt to engender a community of customers who value not only their own appointment time, but also the time of others. As to the miscommunication with your threader, we are unable to help customers who don't let us know at the desk that something is wrong. Our threaders are trained to pay very close attention to the details of peoples individual eyebrows. We can't necessarily speak to the specifics of the incident as we were not made aware of it, but as with any aesthetic industry, there is always a risk for miscommunication from both sides. I'm sorry that you felt as though your only option was to stop pushing the issue. In the future, please do not hesitate to let us know at the desk if your expectations are not met, so that we can remedy the issue as soon as it arises. Next time you come in, feel free to bring in a photo of your brows the way you like them so as to better corroborate. Thank you, SA.
