Sabah is very talented. The salon Manager Karla is another story. I had sticker shock when I saw the price of my services. I explained to Karla the manager my situation. I have been a long time Client with salon Kavi.
Karla basically told me to take a hike. She shows little to no interest in retaining me as a Client. No empathy or concern whatsoever.
Be prepared to know exactly what each stylist fees are. Each Stylist is at various levels and the prices are all over the map.
Be prepared to know exactly what level your stylist is.
Blow drys are not included unless you get a haircut. Prepare to dry your own hair.
Often, you will be passed on to a different person for the shampoo after your color process. The shampoo Person will take you to a blow dry area with a couple of blow dryers to do it yourself.
Bring cash to tip the Stylist. Karla, the Manager doesn't allow the tip to be included if using a debit or credit card. They will suggest you go to whole foods and get cash back if you would like to tip your stylist.
Not always convenient if you are pressed for time. In good conscience after dealing with the salon Manager I would never suggest to a Friend to go to Salon Kavi. The various pricing tiers, different shampoo person, blow drying my own hair if not getting a haircut coupled with not allowing a tip other than cash does not make for a good personal experience. It's actually stressful. The Stylists are terrific. It's a shame the Manager Karla's lack of comcern for a long time Clients experience was handleled so poorly. I will never return or suggest Salon Kavi to anyone.
