I brought my cat in for a health certificate to allow him to be exported to another country. The veterinarian only very briefly examined my pet; she quickly looked at his eyes, ears, and teeth, then ran out of the room. I was left in the room for a long time while the front office tried to figure out how to do the export paperwork. Finally, I was told I needed to drive to Madison to get the health certificate because "somebody" in Madison called the vet back and told them I would have to do this. I don't know who the vet talked to, and the vet herself didn't record the name, but this directly contradicted information I got from the USDA saying I couldn't arrive in person to get the health certificate signed. After driving to half way to Madison the next day, I turned around because the vet told me they had resubmitted the paperwork and the USDA signed certificate should be returned via next day air UPS. Well, 3 days passed and there was no news from the USDA. Finally, I decided to email the USDA myself because I was getting anxious. They told me via email that the paperwork was not correct and the vet hadn't submitted corrections yet. I don't know if Parkside would have ever corrected this if I hadn't emailed Parkside about it. After the paperwork was created, there was another delay getting the document shipped from Madison. The delays added up, and now I'm not getting my paperwork in time. I'm $500 in the hole to Parkside and a whole lot more to my airline without the right to export my cat to my new home country. The process is a complete waste thanks exclusively to the incompetence of the staff at Parkside. Moving my cat to Thailand has been a long odyssey for me, and although I did everything right, I finally hit the single chokepoint that will ruin it all. I want my money back.
