Shannon was recommended to me by a much younger family member who sees her regularly. I'm in my 70s and needed help with both style and color. My hair was too long, droopy, and needed color correction. Since this was my first visit, Shannon first asked me about my habits - How much time did I want to spend on my hair? Did I blow dry or prefer to dry my hair naturally? If I blow dried, did I use a brush or just blow it out? Did I like to use products? And other questions. We discussed coloring alternatives--did I want to go gray gradually or continue to color my hair? What did I think about highlights, etc. Shannon also moved my hair around to see what different lengths might look like and to get a feel for thickness and texture. Based on our conversation, she suggested a lighter color than I'd had previously and a cut that would give my hair more body and that I could maintain without a lot of fussing. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I love the way it looks -- stylish cut and natural-looking color with a few highlights -- an easy to maintain (very important). I've already had numerous compliments. And Shannon is a lovely person as well!
