Went for my routine 6 month check up and cleaning. After the hygienist was finished cleaning my teeth, she said okay you’re all done. I asked if the dentist was coming in to do a check and she said no. I didn’t quite understand as I thought the cleaning would also include the dentist actually coming in to say hello, check my gums, teeth, etc. THAT was disappointing!

Hello, Lisa,
I am sorry for your disappointment. We traditionally see patients one time per year for their examination and x-rays, unless the patient is having a dental concern. Many insurance plans only allow for this to happen one time per year. We do, however, have patients who prefer an exam and x-rays twice a year at each of their 6 month cleaning appointments. We are happy to accommodate their request and make a note in their chart so that the dentist is sure to see them every 6 months. It's no problem at all and just needs to be communicated with the front office.

I was thrilled to get my front crown cemented back in with in an hour of of popping in out. I had bitten my metal fork while eating a salad out for lunch, and stopped by the office to see if I could make an appointment. They worked me in even though quite busy and it was taken care of immediately to my great relief!!
