My husband & I have been taking our vehicles to Service Street for quite a while now. We have had many oil changes as well as other service work performed. There have been a few times where we were unsure as to whether or not we received the work we paid for. The straw here was being told that my vehicle had the timing chain guard go out, taking out the engine, hence needing a new engine. This particular vehicle is an '03 with over 200k miles on it. It has been well taken care of. I was told I could get the engine replaced for $4900! The car Kelly Blue Books for $3500. I called my brother for some guidance and suggestions, as my husband literally just deployed for a year the day before. I had it towed to another service shop for them to part out...only to discover that it does NOT need an engine. It did NOT blow the timing chain guide. The fuel pump went out, a $300 repair vs. a $4900 used engine.

Do NOT use them, they are crooks!!

I'm glad they are finally reading their sheets to see they have already showed me things to "repair" and not asking you to go back and look during an oil change.

Instead they reiterate at checkout and tell you it's in your paperwork.

I renewed my 5 oil changes because of this...

Thank you for the continued support. See you again on your next visit!!

The facility is nice, the service was quick and they were honest enough to not perform an alignment needlessly. I also use them for oil changes.

Service Street - Dallas Highway replied:

It was our pleasure. Thank you.

This place is horrible. Stay away from them as they will rob you blind!!!!!

Someone should stand on the street in front of the building with a huge banner stating how bad this place is!!!! Might save good people money and hassle!!!

Good job on the oil change and tire rotation.... but it took 1 1/2 hours.

Service Street - Dallas Highway replied:

Sorry for the slow execution. We will certainly do better on your next visit. Thank you for the business!

These people do not have a clue. If there was a way to give them zero stars we would! We took our truck to them in December and were told that we had about $900 worth of work to be done. While they were making the repairs in January, they called and us and said they had found another problem-bringing our repair total to nearly $1,200! Within a week, the "check engine" was back on. We took the truck back and was told that everything was great and that they had forgot to reset the "check engine" light. Of course it came on again. We took it back when the truck had trouble turning over. We naturally assumed the starter was bad. After keeping it for several hours, they said our problems had nothing to do with the starter or even alternator. They mentioned numerous problems (including the battery) that would cost $1,600! We picked the car and took it to AutoZone who tested the battery-which turned out to be fine. We spent almost $300 fooling around with them that weekend and still did not get the truck repaired. Waste of time and money. DO NOT USE THEM!

Sir, I have been trying to reach you in regards to your comments. Please contact me so that your concerns can be addressed. As we discussed the current failure on your vehicle is not related to any of the repairs we addresed in the past. At the time of service you agreed that your current condition is a non-related failure. Thank you, Jack

I took my 03 ranger here due to it not starting one morning. I asked them to check the fuel cut off switch (inertia switch). They came back saying I had a bad fuel pump and quoted me around $900 to replace it. After telling them that i would be getting a second opinion, they came up with some instant coupons and dropped the price down to around $600. Then they claimed I would need a fuel line flush and that this would be an additional $150. after the repair the truck continued to have the same problem so i took it back and asked them again to check the inertia switch. Turns out the switch and the wiring to it had indeed fried.

I was then quoted over $360 to replace the switch. The guy at the counter told me that he had called all over the atlanta area and that no one had the part and it would have to be special ordered from ford. They told me +$180 for the special order part (which I would have to prepay for before they would even order it).

I promptly left and drove 5 mins down the road to autozone and they had the part in stock for a whopping $30!!!!

I feel I was mislead and that they have very poor business practices.

Service street quoted me $360.00 to repair a $30 component. I am outraged and feel cheated by this facility and will never go back.

Service Street - Dallas Highway replied:

Although you may have found a simular component listed on line or after market for $30.00, not all parts are created equal. Please keep in mind that our repair price includes testing both before and after the repair and also included needed labor for removal and reinstallation by an ASE certified technician. Further, we warranty our repairs both parts and labor for three years and or 36,000 miles, nation wide. Our warranty is also transferable, if your vehicle is sold the buyer gets the warranty coverage on the repair we conducted.
