We stayed 2 nights in the Lodge, which was clean, roomy, quiet and beautiful. Loved the private porch and wood-burning fireplace. We did 2 hot tub sessions and one massage. Hot tub areas were both immaculate, really nice and had a great view of the forest and mountains. I recommend hot tub #4 because it's close to the cold plunge and the sauna...going back and forth feels really good. The only minor critique is this - because it is spring, there was a small amount of tree bud debris falling into the cold plunge. Might need a couple of extra scoop-outs per day. But again this was very minor! My massage was with Rob, who I highly recommend. He listened very well to what I wanted and knew how to address all the physical problems I mentioned to him. I left feeling very relaxed. I am definitely planning to come back again. One note - the mountain road up to Shoji is a bit terrifying, and we went up in perfect, dry weather. Because of the terrain, there's not a whole lot that can be done about it, but if someone would fix the edges that are eroding away, it would be a little better.
