I found the Signature Image Salon when I was in DC for a wedding and needed a place near my hotel. I got way luckier than expected! Vonetta was very responsive and able to accommodate me without an appointment. It was my first time at a hair salon in two years and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I left with a great deep treatment, a good trim, and healthier looking hair. Will definitely recommend to friends in the DC area!

I was very pleased with the way my hair turned out, the trim, the style, the steam heat treatment. However, the salon was somewhat unkept hair from previous cuts on the floor. There wasn't anyone to greet me at the front desk when I arrived For my blowout the blow dryer was extremely hot.and my scalp felt burned twice. The assistant apologized. I think the heat was extreme for my hair to be blown straight. The owner Vonetta was professional, pleasant and she is very good at her craft. I will return.

Thank you so much for your feedback as it is very valuable information. Our guest makes us better. With every comment and feedback we use it to improve our guest experience. As for the blow dry I’m not sure why you were burnt. But we will revisit our process as we take great pride in our blow dry smoothing method. We are typically careful with all hair types not to cause heat damage and to ensure the guest comfort. Which has been proven to be efficient. We apologize for your discomfort.

As for greeting, that is not like us. However, a lot of things has changed since Covid-19 and partly we are under staffed. We were likely extremely busy to have not have greeted you upon your arrival. We are very mindful to sweep between every guest so your arrival may have been between cutting services and had not yet swept in addition hair was likely passed from under our feet to another space. Cleanliness is something we do not lack. Our salon is cleaned between every guest and each room in our space is cleaned, swept and mopped and trash removed at the end of every shift.

We are so excited that you decided to come again. You will definitely see this to be true.

The hair itself looks and feels incredible. It‘s soft, tame, sheer and bouncy. I only took off stars for service. The employees were fun and friendly to everyone, but my service started an hour late and they didnt try to build a client relationship with me, despite talking to everyone else in the chairs. I would have liked to feel at home despite it being my first time.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It's surprising that we didn't do anything to build report. We typically talk to everyone. With the exception if someone is reading, on their laptop, or on their phone. It can be rude to interrupt people. We in that case try to be respectful.

Trying to think of what case we experienced of the new guest waiting an hour to be started. It does happen in very rare occasions. We typically run on schedule. In cases where we are not on schedule is when guest is late, or indecisive with service. Other times if the person in front of them had a lot of hair. In that case its out of our control and we communicate that to guest by calling in advance or sharing that.

We regret your experience didn't line up with the expectations we have of ourselves. We hope to have another opportunity to earn your trust. We promise to change that paradigm.
