We care deeply about our patients and make sure that we dedicate time to explaining eye conditions, discussing treatment options, and answering any questions our patients have about their care. We practice comprehensive eye care, taking a team approach to all aspects of eye health from routine examinations, glasses and contact lenses up to and including complex medical conditions. Our surgeons have particular expertise in cataract and glaucoma care and frequently provide consultation and surgical treatment for patients referred in by other eye care providers.
Our main offices are in Ashland, OR and in Yreka, CA. Both of these facilities have the most modern diagnostic and therapeutic technologies on site reducing the need for travel. They are designed to be comfortable and efficient for routine and emergency care. We perform surgery in Ashland, OR and in Mt. Shasta, CA and we also serve Medford, Grants Pass, and surrounding areas.

All staff were responsive to my concerns, friendly and calming. Dr Welder was genuine, empathetic and has an excellent bedside manner.
Prep nurse kept me informed of each procedure she did, was focused on my well being during the prep process.
There was no discomfort during surgery...no unpleasantness at all.
The facilities are pleasant.
The entire experience was unexpectedly positive.

I was accompanied every step of the way, and kept informed. I mentioned a problem of watering eye to Dr. Welder, and he provided a first-level treatment (no special charge). I had photos taken of the back of my eye -- which would enable one to tell if I had melanoma on the back of my eye. (a concern, as my brother died of melanoma.).
I appreciated being informed and well-taken care of.
