About
Dr. Elizabeth Piantanida is the founder and director of Skin MD Dermatology & Skin Enhancement Center. Although relatively new to to the Colorado Springs area, she has over 15 years of experience as a Board Certified dermatologist specializing in general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
"It is my Personal goal to offer state-of the-art dermatological care to my patients in a setting that is both professional and comfortable," explains Dr. Piantanida. "I take particular care to educate and involve my patients in their skin care decisions. When it comes to cosmetic procedures, realistic goals and natural appearances are crucial."
Dr. Piantanida obtained her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and later completed her dermatology residency training at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center/National Naval Medical Center in Washington DC area. She is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American society of Dermatological Surgery.
A wide range of general and cosmetic service is available at her private practice to include treatment of acne, psoriasis, eczema, and skin cancers. Cosmetic services include an entire line of dermal fillers and botulinum products, Fraxel skin resurfacing, Thermage skin tightening, Liposonix non invasive fat removal, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photorejuventation, laser hair removal and more.
