I started coming to this office in 2017 .Staff was wonderful and practice seemed to be booming .over the years the quality of service declined drastically the staff kept changing and so did the office managers
Reminders for cleanings we’re not sent out or followed up on changes in policy apparently were made that I was not aware of . Within the last year I had 2 cleanings during which the dentist was not present to review my X days of my implants for my denture or the health of my crowns .By law a dentist needs to at least be present to look at your teeth and X -rays even during your routine cleaning .
I had my final cleaning a couple of weeks ago during which the hygienist actually did not realize that I had my denture in place and proceeded to polish my “ teeth” even telling me how nice and pink my gums were when that was part of my denture
I stopped her and told her my denture was still in my mouth and she grunted” I was going to get to that “
All of a sudden another patient came in and sat in the room next to me and the hygienist hurried along and never touched in my upper implants never cleaned them never flossed any of my teeth and just told me “ ok we are done “ when I asked her why she didn’t clean my implants she lied and said she did .
On the way out at the front desk I was given a bill for $95
I never had to do that before I have insurance the same one for the last 8 years and it was always filed by the dental office
Apparently their rules have changed something that I was not even made aware of when I came in that day .
While I was in the chair getting my partial cleaned the office manager Candace pulled the hygienist away from me behind closed doors and interrupted my cleaning when I questioned that the hygienist ignored my question and just stated “ we all love each other here”
I thought that was very inappropriate but I was not surprised since this was the same office. Manager Candace that would not prescribe me medication for severe pain during an emergency because I had an infected root under my crown and my tooth needed a root canal instead she argues with me that I had not been there in 5 months this must have been the most horrible experience I have ever had I was in excruciating pain and she refused to call me in an antibiotic to clear up the infection and a strong pain medicine because I was in extreme pain
Who does that ? I had to find Dr Vakhil’s cell number through an Ex employee and beg him to call me in some
I must say I am shocked about the customer service at this place and the lack of empathy care or concern of management Candace the business office manager and ultimately Dr Vakhil who just blew off any concerns as “ but she is my business office manager “
Clearly he is not concerned about his king time customer experience as a patient .
A lot of things were done wrong here and my rights a s a patient were definitely ignored and my last cleaning was rushed and not completed yet they want to charge me for a cleaning that is covered by Insurance and was not done according to policy without the MD present .
A few years ago I was happy here but things have changed many people have left for reasons ranging from bad dentistry to lack of patient care
I definitely saw this within the last year and especially during my last visit
There are a lot of food dentists out there that care about their patients and their satisfaction and their outcomes
However I have come to learn that this office mostly cares about the money and is definitely not focused on patient care
I work in the health field in surgery myself and patient satisfaction always comes first
At this office however under the supervision of Candace and in the end Dr Vakhil himself the patient s experience is not important
For that reason and the gross negligence I definitely do not recommend this practice .
