I'll give you an honest review - this is my favorite dentist office not only because of the doctors but because of the team and the positive, welcoming atmosphere they provide. I've only had one negative experience here in however long I've been a patient. I have been coming for several years now, even when it was Dr. Tenney's practice. Gabby is excellent at the reception desk - be it on the phone or in person, she always makes me feel welcome. Debbie does the same while doing my cleaning - always feel great after I get out of her chair.
The only negative experience I had was recent. A doctor used the casual approach at our initial introduction, only using first name without the "Dr." before it. I has to ask, and from where I was, I couldn't see any embroidered name on her lab coat. It made me so uncomfortable I needed to leave and reschedule. Hearing the title "Dr." initially gives me reassurance; I want to hear my doctor identify his/herself as such; I don't want to fathom that they are a new practitioner/student. I've been misinformed before, and I was livid. That's one of the reasons I switched to this practice over my last one.
I understand the casual approach just using title and first name to cut down on anxiety for those who are generally very anxious and stressed out over such a routine visit (one filling), but it doesn't work for me. I can do casual, but not that casual until perhaps we've known each other a while. I gave feedback to Gabby after this experience and I have since returned for a successful filling.
I am still going to recommend Pecos Family Dental to my friends and colleagues.
