I think that the attention to detail and thoroughness are really exemplary. However, I have trouble with the focus on how much insurance will pay and all of these extras when people are just coming in for a check up and cleaning. It seems like most dentists these days want to get very intricate and often provide extra services, maybe because teeth cleanings and check-ups don't pay as well. I also have trouble with hygienists treating patients as if we are ignorant. We all know how to floss and what we should be doing. I feel chastised and the message seems to be that any problem is entirely my fault and that if I just spent more time flossing and brushing, everything would be perfect. Age, genetics and other factors often play into the overall health of the teeth. It's all right to point them out but the repetition in a scolding tone becomes very difficult to handle after awhile. That said, everyone is very pleasant and the office is extremely clean and nice.
