we have been patients of Smithaven Hospital since 1995 with our first rescue pup, Madison. the staff and especially Dr. Coiro have treated all 3 of our rescues with compassion When it was time for Madison to go over "the bridge" we couldn't have had a more supportive team with us that night. Dr. Coiro said we would know when it was time and he was right. when Gracie came along, our rather large rescue had allergy issues. Again Dr. Coiro was patient as he tried one medication or another to help our girl be more comfortable. Gracie even surprised him when she had an allergic reaction to penicillin of all things! she's still thinks she is a small pup and acts that way still at 8 yrs old. Our current rescue, Mulan, started out with a hard life. Being in a kennel for 6 months in Tennessee and then 6 months at North Shore Animal League, took its toll on her becoming very depressed. After residing with us for a year (her birthday is today), she has calmed down to be a real sweetheart. Unless of course someone walks past the house or the resident squirrel taunts her from its perch, then the race from one side of house to the other (4 times at full speed) begins. the Staff at Smithhaven have been wonderful with her regular ear infections. These caring bunch of people I cant say enough about them! I look forward to continued healthy relationship with them always
I was taken in a few minutes and put in an examination room with my 2 cats. I spoke with the vet tech at length who was very informative. The vet came in a few minutes later. Dr Baldino examined my 2 cats and spent a good amount of time with us. I highly recommend Dr Baldino and Barbara. I checked out very quickly with the front desk personnel.
Dr.Baldino and Dr.Coiro have provided medical care for years to our beloved pets. They are caring and honest. All our pets are in excellent experienced hands at Smithhaven Hospital. We highly recommended!!!
