The staff was very friendly and informative. I would have liked to have more options for pain free service during my appointment as I informed the person on the phone that I called specifically for invasive pain free dentistry due to the fact that I had a traumatic experience with one of my only two previous visits to the dentist. Everything went fine until the needle in my gum. i was numbed a little and they used some vibration thing that was to offset stick but i still felt 50% of them. I know it would have cost more and my insurance would have not covered it but options would have been nice. During my "Deep cleaning i felt some of the vibrating cleaning tool a few times as she hit the gum line and i made noise to express my discomfort a few times and she Julie asked if I wanted more medication and I asked maybe if it keeps happening. She said I would definitely need more when they did my filling. After my deep cleaning I was supposed to get a filling done as well but the Dentist servicing me I suppose was working multiple patients and I waited for 15 to 20 minutes and another dentist came in and said she would be here soon as he looked at stuuf behind me. My 30-45 minute visit turned in to two hours and I had to go back to work so I told the male dentist that I had to go and he said ok and scheduled my filling for a couple of weeks later. As I was getting up the female dentist came in and said I am already numbed up can I stay for another 20 minutes I said no I had to go and she said just give me 15 minutes and I said no i had to go back to work and she didn't seem happy. I left. I wish i would have been able to complete the filling at this visit because with the needle and the vibrating tool I am not excited about returning for the filling.

Here at Soft Touch Dental, your comfort and satisfaction is our utmost priority. We utilize daily all the options we have available to us here in our office to keep our patients as comfortable as possible; the dental vibe works wonderfully to alleviate some discomfort that patients may have during anesthesia. However, shy of IV sedation or general anesthesia, there is some sensation with local anesthesia and your condition certainly did not dictate the use of such severe anesthesia methods as IV sedation which is not one of our options at Soft Touch. As in any busy and successful office, our providers time gets stretched now and then. The reason our Dentist felt strongly (she wasn't upset) about doing the filling then and there was because you were already numb and she did not want to have you experience anymore anesthesia discomfort for a quick filling at another visit. Your time is valuable and we understand completely your frustration, but here we always try to accommodate your needs in a conservative and efficient manner.
