My go to hair salon was in Chicago. We moved to North Aurora less than a year ago and after so many months of searching, I finally came across Sojourn. I initially communicated solely thru Yelp and the owner (Philip) was amazingly responsive which I truly appreciated. After a week or two of communicating with them, I finally was able to come in for a cut and another day for color. Devin cut my hair and Monica did color. Both ladies were so professional and informative and I just loved the experience overall. I am still going thru the process from brunette to ash blonde and Monica was so helpful and explained the whole process before everything got started. She explained that it will likely take several sessions to do this and kept making sure I'm okay with it. I am currently pregnant and she took full consideration of this by taking a much gentler approach. Although I believe that she would have been the same way with any client regardless. I appreciate the care that is being put towards my hair during this process. I'm coming back in 4-weeks, as Monica recommended, to get that ash blonde I'm going for.
Overall, I enjoyed everything about the salon, all the services (neck massage and head/massage was may super favorite) and not to forget their little nook completely equipped with studio lighting for the perfect, well-lit, shot of your before and after. I am so glad I have found Sojourn. I highly, HIGHLY, recommend them. You will not regret it!
