Normally, if I have a bad experience I don't go out of my way to gripe about it. However, I had just sent my daughter, who was in from out of town, to Sonoran Beauty the previous week. She needed a mani-pedi and my normal nail tech at a different salon was out of town (and it's also a bit of an older crowd). So, I sent her up to Sonoran Beauty after looking around online. She had a not-so-great experience although her nails were nice. So, when it came time for my mani and my tech was still out, I thought I'd try your salon out myself. Well, the same exact thing happened to me and I'm kind of shocked that this is a standard procedure at your salon. In both my appointment and my daughter's, our manicures ended with the final top coat and then removing the tacky parts; no moisturizer, no hand massage. My hands were so dry after removing the old gel polish, filing and curing, the fact that your salon doesn't even spend 3 minutes to at least moisturize your client's hands seems like really poor service. In virtually dozens of salons (and my daughter is a licensed hair professional who knows and works with many nail techs), we've never ever had that part skipped but it happened to both of us. I would definitely not recommend your salon to anyone because there are plenty of others who do the full service and are cheaper (and I'm not talking about the foreign-owned salons with inferior/questionable products). For reference, my regular nail tech at a reputable salon not too far from you finishes every gel manicure with a nice sugar or salt scrub, followed by moisturizer and a lengthy hand massage...and it's $5 cheaper than yours. I won't be back and won't recommend anyone to go either.
We are mortified to hear of your poor experience with one of our nail technicians. We pride ourselves in providing quality, thorough, and satisfactory services. We would like to mention our nail technicians are independent contractors, which is no excuse. However we have scheduled a meeting with them and will be going over proper procedure of all nail services we expect here at Sonoran Beauty.
