I had an appointment with my General Dentist at 11:00 and he determined that I needed a root canal. I was in discomfort as I had put this off. He called Southern Arizona Endodontics (Oracle) and I was scheduled immediately for that day at 3:00.
Their waiting room was warm & inviting with various drinks & water available in a small refrigerator with a glass front. Also warm coffee and fresh cookies.
I was called back promptly and the dental assistant stayed with me the whole time. I saw Dr. Smith. He determined almost immediately that I needed the root canal for sure. He explained what the procedure would be which made me comfortable as I knew what to expect. The novocaine was administered and 15 minutes later he started. I liked that they cover your mouth and only the tooth he was working on was exposed. No mess from the drilling and the awful sucking from the vacuum. They also put a bite holder (not sure what it was called) to hold your mouth open. Great as my jaw was not sore afterwards. After the procedure was complete, Dr. Smith explained that I may be in some discomfort. I was not and even went to my Tap Dancing class at 6:00. I am still feeling OK the next morning.
It's not pleasant going to the dentist, however this has been the best dental experience I have had.
