The entire staff was kind and compassionate, which is not what I encounter at most emergency clinics. They were thorough and communicated well, eager to answer questions and not dismissive like most vets.

Brought my German Shepherd in after her tail got caught in the door. We were seen right away and the vet held her for sedation and stitches for a little less than three hours. We went home and got a call to come pick her up. She was in good spirits and I appreciate being seen right away.

I found the staff to be gracious and helpful under very stressful conditions and must commend them for their dedication. While their care is excellent, I do wish the Doctors would communicate just a little bit more as to what the underlying issues are and what to do moving forward. Otherwise I was quite happy with their work.

I’m impressed with South Seattle Veterinary Hospital and staff. We couldn’t get into our neighborhood vet hospital for our emergency. South Seattle got us right in even though they were very busy. The doctors were very consultative with me and caring with my dog. They explained everything she needed and why. She is doing much better now. This is also very nice big facility. We will be back.

Positive experience at the front desk. I saw one staff talking with a client who was pretty agitated and she calmly asked him to wear his mask. Another staff was really compassionate and patient, even with pet owners in distress. A 3rd staff has a high-pitched voice on the phone but a regular tone in person, so I would just suggest gentle feedback. Dr. was compassionate. Could pause more, in between sections of information because it was a lot very fast. Questions are not because I’m “scared” but to understand the treatment plan. Appreciate when he noticed subtle nonverbal cues on the phone, and would pause for questions. Not sure if the vet trusted me as the person who knows my dog the best, but I did trust the two doctors I spoke to and was glad that they were quickly able to diagnose and treat. Staff & clinicians seemed to genuinely like the pets in their care. The lobby needs a little more separation between people seated, and for dogs to enter/exit with a wider path.
