Awful experience. Took my 1957 Chevy there to have the directional switch replaced. I brought the required parts with me. I thought that the repair would be about an hour so I opted to wait. What ended up happening was that I was there for over three hours largely because they made several errors in the installation that led to much more time, of which I paid for at an excessive rate. 1) they put the steering wheel back incorrectly which led to
unecessary work. 2) they said that there was no power to the switch, at which time they checked wiring and
fuses. finally said that it needed a new flasher, which is what they should have checked FIRST 3) they
couldn't get the horn to work. I came out to look and saw that the horns were DISCONNECTED, something that
should have been checked first. I might add that during the tijme car was iin shop I notced that everal times
the mechanic was not working on my car and was told that he was unloading a truck and that he would get back to it.
What ended up happening was that after over three hours, the car was ready and the owner proceeded ti give me a
bill for $448.00. FOUR HUNDRED AND FORTHY- EIGHT DOLLARS !! Absurd and outrageous. Why so much
mpney? Well, he said that the labor rate was $144.00 per hour !! Beware, there are numerous pictures on their
walls but NO posting of what their labor rate is. I can see why. So I ended up paying them for the extended time
due to their mistakes. Their policy is supposed to give back to the customer replaced parts. Of course, the flasher, of which they charged $20. was not returned. One more thing. The owner sarcastically said that I was the
only customer who waited for his repair Not surprising...... who knows how much time they actually spend on
a repair. I do not recommend taking your car here for repair.
