Dr Campbell is a perfectionist. He will do whatever he can to make sure you get the best possible result. Which is *exactly* what I want when trusting someone to correct my vision. My vision is, of course, the most important way that I interact with the world around me.
Vision correction isn't a straightforward thing. There are a lot of subtle concerns related to the individual way in which your eyes distort things, and how your brain interprets that. He takes the time to work with you, finding the best compromise between multiple different options to make sure that you're happy with the result, and he doesn't rush it if you have any questions or concerns.
I have gone through multiple optometrists before finding Dr Campbell. Each time before, it felt like a "follow the flow chart and take their money" situation, and the results were merely "passable". Since going to Spex, my vision is finally as crisp and clear as I remember it used to be, and I don't feel like my eyes are straining even through my glasses anymore.
